Registered Building Inspector
STMC is a Building Control Approver registered with the BSR.
We are seeking a Registered Building Inspector to join our inspection team in South East of England including the East Anglia area.
Locations that need covering include Southend, Chelmsford,
East of the M11 picking up Cambridge, Colchester, Ipswich, Norwich, Bury St.Edmunds, Peterborough and Kings Lynn.
You would be supported by an excellent centralized administration team.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain further experience and knowledge in the Building Control commercial market.
STMC carry out the Building Control service in the commercial market only.
Desirable Attributes
•Minimum requirement of Class 2 D Registered Building Inspector
•Experience in Building Control commercial projects
•Positive attitude and determination
•Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
•Excellent customer service and computer skills
•Full UK driving license
Roles and Responsibilities
•Provide professional Building Control services to clients
•Manage project workload efficiently
•Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with regulations. Site inspections only.
•Assist and advise customers on general queries
•Achieve or maintain the appropriate Class 2D registration
•Adhere to quality manuals, procedures, and codes of conduct Qualifications
•Minimum Class 2D RBI

STMC was approved by the Secretary of State, under Part II of the Building Act 1984, as a Corporate Approved Inspector in September 1998, and following recent changes in legislation has now been approved by the new Building Safety Regulator as a Registered Building Control Approver. This enables STMC to carry out Building Regulations Approvals and site inspections throughout England and Wales.
