Our client the Assent Group (including LB Building Control) has become one of the forefront Building Control bodies in the country and has developed a reputation and service second to none. Building regulation compliance is integral to a project from inception to completion and operating as a Corporate Building Control Approved Inspector, they are dedicated to ensuring that the Building Control process provides added value for clients, whether they are designers, developers, or contractors. They serve a wide range of clients in varied industries including commercial, education, industrial, retail, leisure and residential. The Assent Group are constantly striving to be the best and continue to evolve in a sustainable way through careful recruitment and retention leading to the development of solid, long-term relationships and, with that in mind, they are now recruiting a Principal Building Control Surveyor to join the LB Building Control Team to support their growth plans.
As a senior member of the Building Control team, the main purpose of this role as a Principal Building Control Surveyor, is to manage the delivery of projects and to take an active role in business growth and development. You will take ownership of an area and work with qualified and experienced colleagues and certify complex / large scale projects. The key objectives for this position are toco ordinate and support a team of Building Control Surveyors and our clients on building projects, to review building control applications and carry out inspections of work on a wide range of project types ensuring compliance with the Building Regulations. Contribute to achieving revenue targets, including financial performance of the office and take the lead on team development and progress strategic actions as required.
To be shortlisted you must have previous experience in a senior role in a building control environment including corporate membership of either MCABE or MRICS. As a high calibre Building Control Surveyor you will have natural leadership skills, have experience of managing people and projects, be capable of working with the minimum of supervision and be highly skilled at building relationships, with excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
