What you will be doing 

Following a recent restructure of the Building Control team, we are looking for an Assistant Building Control Surveyor who has some knowledge and experience of building and construction. This role would include opportunities to undertake training to develop in the field of Building Control.

You will be responsible for working with the Senior Building Control Surveyors to undertake all duties associated with the Building Control function depending on experience and knowledge. Duties include site inspections, plan assessments and other functions related to the Building Control Service.

This post has a significant travel requirement and you are contractually required to have a vehicle (or transport deemed to be suitable by the council) available for use as required.
