My client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor of somewhere between intermediate and senior level- 3-10 year's experience. This contractor comprises a group of business with a combined turnover of 50 m and I am looking for someone who can introduce, implement and manage the commercial success of projects within structural alterations, diamond drilling and steel works- architectural and structural. You don't necessarily need experience in the above sectors although experience from subcontracting will certainly be very useful. The key is the desire to progress quickly within a business where your efforts will be pivotal to the contractor's success going forward. The opportunity to climb the career ladder is genuine and achievable. I have been asked to find a QS with 2-3 year's experience to work on Cut and carve (structural alteration) projects in central London. This opportunity is somewhere between assistant and intermediate level and the contractor is of a size that will allow you to progress your career quickly should you demonstrate the aptitude for the role. The successful applicant will spend 4-5 days on site and one day per week in the office. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and this will give you a direct insight into and knowledge of the company and industry. Ideally, you will have a Quantity Surveying degree, a background in subcontracting- this could be cut and carve, RC structures or groundworks and the desire to join a busy and successful specialist.
