We are seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Head of Building Control to support the leadership and management of our Building Control service. Working closely with the Head of Building Control, you will help shape the strategic direction of the service while overseeing the delivery of high-quality, customer-focused Building Control functions. You will lead and develop professional teams, manage complex and high-risk projects, and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and professional standards. The successful candidate will have substantial Building Control experience, strong technical expertise, and proven leadership skills. Job Description 18 Weeks, 5 days per week Pay rate: 629.96 Class 2A or above (preferably Class 2F) Site inspections for a minimum of three days a week (four would be preferable) available to provide emergency cover over weekends and evenings (this is very infrequent) Provide training to a trainee Able to engage in team meetings and training Participate in peer reviews minimum validation would be 2A (would prefer a 2F) surveyor needed who can make site inspection for at least four days a week and can cover the weekends on emergency call out - two days in office and able to do site inspections.
