We are currently seeking a freelance Quantity Surveyor / Cost Manager to work on a major alliance project in Swillington. Reporting to the Programme Commercial Manager, the successful candidate will take the lead on the monthly commercial reporting cycle for their allocated schemes/batches. The role will involve administering the Alliance change control process and supporting the Alliance Manager with monthly payment applications. You will be responsible for monitoring costs, forecasts and budgets, ensuring accurate and timely commercial reporting, and providing strong commercial support throughout the delivery of the schemes. Due to the award of a major Highways and Road over Rail Bridge scheme in Oxford valued at over £60m, our client, a world renowned Main Contractor are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial Team on a freelance basis. Based from site (this is 5 days per week) daily duties will include Procurement, Sub Contractor Account Management, Payments, Cost Reporting and Variations. To be considered for this role, you will have a minimum of an HNC in Quantity Surveying and have working experience of NEC Option 4 along with major Highways and Structure experience gained within the Main Contracting environment. In return, a top day rate is on offer which is Inside IR35 and comes with an immediate start and long term contract for the right individual. You'll be overseeing the commercial management of project from inception through to final account.
