A leading multidisciplinary consultancy is looking for an ambitious Associate Structural Engineer to take a key leadership role within their London buildings team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both technical excellence and team/project leadership while remaining hands-on with high-quality structural design.
The Role
As an Associate, you will play a major role in project direction, client management, team development and technical delivery. You ll be involved in projects across commercial, residential, mixed-use, cultural, education and regeneration sectors both new-build and refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage structural design delivery across multiple projects

Provide technical oversight, QA, reviews and guidance to engineering teams

Act as a key client contact, attending meetings and presenting design solutions

Develop concept, scheme and detailed designs across a broad range of building types

Oversee project budgets, programs and resource planning

Mentor and support engineers and technicians, helping drive team development

Contribute to bids, proposals and business development activities

Ensure compliance with UK design standards, legislation and industry best practice
About You
-
Chartered Engineer (CEng) with IStructE or ICE

Significant experience in building structures design within a consultancy environment

Strong design capability across steel, concrete, timber and masonry

Confident team leader with excellent communication and client-facing skills

Capable of managing multiple projects and multidisciplinary coordination
