Senior Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor (Asset Management)

Operating as the strategic cost lead, you will take full ownership of the financial frameworks providing expert cost management, valuation oversight, and contractual integrity to ensure every pound of operational spend is optimised.

Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team within Asset Management, you will lead the commercial oversight of the institution's long term maintenance expenditure. Your responsibilities will include:

• Valuation & Commercial Control: Taking ownership of the financial delivery for major term contracts, ensuring robust measurement, valuation, and cost control across the portfolio.
• Process Design: Leading the creation and enhancement of bespoke cost management frameworks and reporting methodologies to ensure maximum transparency.
• Contractual Advisory: Acting as the expert on contract administration (NEC/JCT), providing solutions for complex financial variances or disputes.
• Strategic Reporting: Translating complex financial data into clear commercial insights to support long term asset management and investment decisions.

This role is specifically designed for a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Manager (either PQS or Contractor side) who excels at the "sharp end" of financial control. You will bring a high degree of commercial acumen and a deep understanding of cost planning within the built environment.
