Job Description


Our client, a prominent local authority in London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Building Inspector - Class 2F to join their team. This role focuses on building control within the commercial projects sector, contributing to the ongoing development and safety of urban infrastructure.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting up to six building inspections per day, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Performing on-site inspections four days a week, with one day dedicated to remote work
  • Providing accurate and detailed reports on building conditions and compliance status
  • Offering expert advice and guidance on building control matters
  • Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations throughout all inspections
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in building control, specifically with commercial projects
  • Qualification as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) - Class 2F
  • Strong understanding of building regulations and construction standards
  • Ability to conduct thorough and accurate inspections
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in using inspection tools and technology
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
