Our client, a prominent local authority in London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Building Inspector - Class 2F to join their team. This role focuses on building control within the commercial projects sector, contributing to the ongoing development and safety of urban infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting up to six building inspections per day, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Performing on-site inspections four days a week, with one day dedicated to remote work
- Providing accurate and detailed reports on building conditions and compliance status
- Offering expert advice and guidance on building control matters
- Collaborating with project teams and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
- Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations throughout all inspections
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices
Job Requirements:
- Experience in building control, specifically with commercial projects
- Qualification as a Registered Building Inspector (RBI) - Class 2F
- Strong understanding of building regulations and construction standards
- Ability to conduct thorough and accurate inspections
- Excellent report writing and documentation skills
- Proficiency in using inspection tools and technology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
