Bennett & Game Recruitment are working in partnership with a well-established and forward-thinking specialist contractor based in Derby, delivering projects across demolition, earthworks, civils, and groundworks.

With a strong reputation for delivering full "destruction to construction" solutions, our client is known for their collaborative approach, value engineering expertise, and ability to deliver high-quality projects efficiently and safely. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team.

The Opportunity

The role will involve a mix of both site and office-based work, providing valuable exposure across the full project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and submission of applications for payment
• Support the pricing of variations and maintain accurate cost records
• Issue contractual notifications to clients where required
• Coordinate and manage the distribution of construction drawings
• Assist in the preparation of valuations and final accounts
• Monitor project budgets and carry out cost analysis
• Support procurement of materials and subcontractor packages

Requirements

• Experience within construction or groundworks (preferred but not essential)
• HNC/HND qualified or working towards a construction-related degree
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organisational ability
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant systems
• Proactive, driven, and keen to learn
• Full UK driving licence
