Overview
If you’re a Class 2D (or above) RBI looking to step away from volume-driven work and into a role where quality, flexibility, and trust are prioritised – this could be the move.
A highly regarded and expanding Registered Building Control Approver is strengthening its London presence and is looking to appoint an experienced RBI to take ownership of a well-managed, technically interesting project portfolio.
This isn’t a box-ticking environment. You’ll be trusted to manage your own workload, work directly with clients, and focus on delivering a high standard of Building Control across more complex schemes.
The Role
You’ll operate with a high level of autonomy, managing projects end-to-end while being supported by a collaborative and experienced team.
· Take ownership of a portfolio of Building Control projects across London & the South East
· Deliver plan checking and site inspections across more complex schemes (level dependent)
· Act as the lead technical contact for clients, contractors and design teams
· Apply Building Regulations with a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
· Contribute to maintaining high professional and compliance standards

About You
· Registered Building Inspector (Class 2D or above)
· Comfortable working across complex or higher-risk projects
· Able to manage your own workload and client relationships
· Strong technical grounding with a pragmatic mindset
· Professional, credible, and confident in a client-facing role
· Full UK driving licence
