The Role

We are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing and well-respected principal contractor, where your input will be valued and your work will have a direct impact on project success. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants variety, responsibility and the chance to work closely with directors on live projects.

You will play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. You will be involved from early stages through to final accounts, ensuring everything runs smoothly and stays on track.

This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same, offering a mix of office and site-based work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administration of contracts on site
• Preparation of interim valuations and final accounts
• Pricing and managing variations
• Carrying out site measurements
• Measuring from drawings to support project delivery
• Placing orders with subcontractors
• Agreeing subcontractor accounts
• Attending project meetings and providing updates
• Reporting directly to company directors

The Person

To succeed as a Quantity Surveyor, you will need:

• Previous experience in a similar Surveying role within construction
• Strong understanding of contracts, valuations and final accounts
• Confidence working both on site and in the office
• Good communication skills and the ability to build working relationships
• A proactive and organised approach to your work
