Senior Structural Engineer

First People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer known for delivering complex, high-hazard projects across sectors including Power, Life Sciences, Defence and Aviation. Our client is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering structural design on smaller projects or key elements of larger schemes
- Preparing and checking calculations, models, drawings and specs in line with UK standards
- Carrying out detailed analysis using industry software and supporting project progress updates
- Assisting with bids, scopes and introducing practical, buildable and sustainable solutions
- Supporting and mentoring junior engineers
Requirements:
- Chartered Structural Engineer (CEng or IStructE)
- Proven experience delivering structural design on complex buildings or infrastructure projects
- Solid technical capability in steel, concrete, timber and masonry, including foundation design and structural assessments (dynamic/seismic experience beneficial)
- Proficient in tools such as Tekla Structural Designer, STAAD, Robot or Tedds
- Experienced working within multidisciplinary teams, with knowledge of BIM and Navisworks
- Good understanding of CDM regulations and structural safety, with CSCS card, SC clearance eligibility and a full UK driving licence
