Structural Engineer - Derby

Emtech Recruitment is working with a well-established, award-winning consulting engineering practice to recruit a Structural Engineer for their office in Derby.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will be involved in a variety of projects and responsibilities, including:

  • Undertaking design work, inspections, and providing construction site support on major infrastructure projects
  • Carrying out concept and feasibility studies for multidisciplinary design schemes
  • Performing analysis and design using software such as Tekla, IDEA StatiCA, and TEDDS, alongside hand calculations
  • Preparing design calculations, CDM documentation, Basis of Design reports, and material specifications
  • Supporting and collaborating with Senior Structural Engineers


Requirements

  • Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in Structural Engineering or a related discipline
  • Strong technical design experience using British Standards and Eurocodes
  • Proven ability to produce clear and accurate design and calculation documentation
  • Experience designing in reinforced concrete and steel
  • Working knowledge of BIM software and processes
