Graduate Structural Engineer Edinburgh

We are currently working on behalf of a well known client, they are a well established and highly regarded engineering consultancy, who are looking to appoint a Graduate Structural Engineer to join their Edinburgh office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate or recent graduate to begin their structural engineering career within a supportive consultancy environment, working on a diverse portfolio of high quality projects.

The successful candidate will join an experienced structural team and will be involved in the design and delivery of projects across a range of sectors. You will gain hands on experience from an early stage, supported by senior engineers and structured training.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the structural design and analysis of building projects
• Preparing calculations, drawings and technical documentation
• Supporting senior engineers through concept, detailed design and construction stages
• Working collaboratively with architects and other design disciplines
• Attending site visits and project meetings where required

We are keen to speak with candidates who have:

• A degree (BEng or MEng) in Structural or Civil Engineering
• A strong interest in building structures and structural design
• Knowledge of steel, concrete, timber and masonry design principles
• Familiarity with structural analysis software (or a willingness to learn)
• Good communication skills and a proactive, team oriented mindset

A desire to work towards professional chartership with IStructE or ICE is essential.
