Job Description
We're currently supporting a leading civil engineering contractor on a major infrastructure scheme in West Yorkshire, and are looking to engage an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor on a contract basis.
This is a site-based role on a complex, live project, offering the opportunity to take ownership of key work packages within a collaborative delivery environment.
The Role
As a Senior QS, you'll play a key role within the commercial team, taking responsibility for the commercial management of sections of work within a cost reimbursable / NEC contract environment.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Full commercial ownership of assigned packages
- Cost reporting, forecasting and CVRs
- Management and assessment of Compensation Events
- Subcontract procurement, administration and final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with contract processes and cost mechanisms
- Working closely with operational teams to drive commercial performance
Requirements
- Proven experience operating at Senior QS level within civil engineering or infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (cost reimbursable / target cost essential)
- Experience managing packages independently on live projects
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working in a site-based environment
