Salary: £45,000 to £58,000 per annum DOE
Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri

You will be joining a major depot project that is a dynamic hub of activity, blending complex civil engineering with essential rail infrastructure. This is not just another project; it's a fast-moving development where your contribution is vital to its success and things change by the day.

As the new Quantity Surveyor, you will be integral to the commercial team. This is a hybrid role, requiring an initial presence of four days a week in the project office to get fully embedded with the team and processes, with the potential for more flexibility down the line. Your day-to-day will involve managing the full spectrum of commercial duties, including processing applications for payment, handling CVRs, building up change requests, and negotiating with subcontractors. The key is taking full ownership of your remit, ensuring deadlines are met.

Due to growth, my client is looking to add a Quantity Surveyor to their team. Your duties as a Quantity Surveyor will include:
Working with the SQS you will lead, manage, develop and train the commercial teams across your portfolio of projects
Assist on all contractual matters from inception to close out via in depth understanding of the contract and its implications for profit delivery.
Assisting in the preparation of contract documents, including bills of quantities, specifications, drawings.
Assist in the management of the Risk & Opportunities process.
Produce monthly CVR reports.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience as a Quantity Surveyor, working on civil engineering/infrastructure projects for a contractor, ideally within the rail/civils industry on major projects
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
Chartered by the RICS/CIOB (preferred)
