Job Description
Our client, a specialist contractor is seeking a motivated Estimator / Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to develop their career within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, working on a range of exciting projects across the security and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
- Assist with the preparation of bills of quantities and cost plans
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal project teams
- Support commercial management throughout project lifecycle
- Assist in value engineering and cost control exercises
Requirements:
- Experience in estimating or quantity surveying
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating software
- Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (desirable but not essential for assistant level)
