Overview
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing contractor specialising in food retail rollouts and refurbishment projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to take ownership of multiple high-value schemes across the UK.
The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects from pre-construction through to final account. Projects are typically fast-track refurbishments and rollouts within the food retail sector, requiring strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising quality or cost control.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of food retail rollout and refurbishment projects
- Cost planning, procurement, and subcontractor management
- Preparation and submission of valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget and in line with client expectations
- Working closely with project managers and site teams to drive performance
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously across nationwide locations
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fast-paced environments
- Background in retail, ideally food retail refurbishments or rollouts
- Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively
- Comfortable with nationwide travel as required
- Degree-qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred)
