They are now seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to play a key role within the team. Senior Structural Engineer Job Overview

• Lead the design and delivery of structural engineering projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments
• Prepare and review structural calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications in line with current standards and best practice
• Work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to develop practical and cost-effective structural solutions
• Undertake structural analysis and design using relevant software and manual calculations
• Oversee and coordinate project delivery, ensuring programmes, budgets, and quality standards are achieved
• Attend site visits, inspections, and project meetings to monitor progress and resolve technical queries
• Mentor and support junior engineers and technicians, contributing to their ongoing professional development
• Ensure compliance with relevant design codes including Eurocodes and British Standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of internal processes and technical standards

Senior Structural Engineer Job Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards chartership
• Degree qualified in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience within a structural engineering consultancy environment
• Strong experience in the design of building structures using materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
• Proficient in structural design software such as Tekla Tedds, Robot, ETABS, or similar
• Experience using AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit would be advantageous
• Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and design standards
• Proven ability to manage projects and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders
• Experience mentoring junior staff or leading small teams
