Assistant Quantity Surveyor
We re working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major hospitality development.
This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in the delivery of a £35M hotel scheme comprising nearly 300 rooms, forming part of a wider regeneration project valued at up to £1 billion.
We re ideally seeking candidates with around 2 years experience, preferably gained with a Tier 1 contractor, although this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of cost plans, budgets and forecasts
- Supporting the procurement process, including tender analysis and subcontractor appointments
- Preparing and processing subcontractor payments and valuations
- Assisting with the management of variations and change control
- Supporting the preparation of monthly cost/value reports
- Liaising with site teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure smooth commercial delivery
- Maintaining accurate project records and documentation
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience in a Quantity Surveying role
- Experience working on large-scale construction projects
- Ideally background with a Tier 1 or leading main contractor
- Strong numerical and commercial awareness
- Good communication and organisational skills
- Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar
You will play a key role in supporting the commercial delivery through to completion.
