Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial and cost-related aspects of construction projects from postreconstructive through to final account.
  • Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation, cost plans, and procurement schedules.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis, risk assessments, and value engineering exercises.
  • Lead subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and contract administration.
  • Monitor project expenditure, valuations, variations, and cashflow forecasting.
  • Work closely with project managers, site teams, and design consultants to ensure commercial control and contractual compliance.
  • Provide accurate monthly reporting, cost-to-complete assessments, and financial updates to senior management.
  • Ensure all work aligns with the company's high standards of quality, safety, sustainability, and client satisfaction.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, supply chain partners, and internal stakeholders
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction/commercial discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in a QS role within main contracting or developer-led construction.
  • Strong understanding of JCT contracts, procurement routes, and commercial management.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with precision and attention to detail.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation and stakeholder-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office applications.
