Are you a Rail Quantity Surveyor with experience working on civils projects?

Location: Chelmsford - hybrid working available (2 days from home)
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum DOE + up to £6000 car allowance

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured civils work, my client is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of projects across rail and infrastructure frameworks in the Anglia region.

Working closely with a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial function across a mix of frameworks and standalone projects, ensuring accurate reporting, cost control, and efficient delivery.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with 3-5 years' experience who is "on the ball", proactive, and looking to develop within a fast-paced and growing business.

As Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:
Supporting the commercial management of civils frameworks and projects
Tracking and managing work orders, variations, EOTs, and client instructions
Monitoring project progress and identifying risks and commercial impacts
Supporting cost/value reporting and forecasting
Assisting with procurement and management of supply chain resources
Reviewing and commercially assessing client contract documents
Supporting change control processes to maximise revenue and reduce risk
Liaising with client representatives to progress valuations and approvals
Ensuring accurate project data and commercial reporting

Requirements:
3-5 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Background in civil engineering projects (e.g. earthworks, drainage, bridges)
Experience working in a fast-paced environment supporting senior commercial staff
NEC contract experience beneficial but not essential
Strong IT skills, particularly Excel and Word
Full UK driving licence
