Civil Structural Engineer

The Civil / Structural Engineers - all levels 12 Months Remote with trips to client sites and occasional visits to the Clients Glasgow office. Successful applicants must be able to achieve and maintain a Security Check (SC) security clearance and be UK nationals.

The Civil/Structural team specialises in solving the most complex and technically demanding structural engineering problems. You will be joining a 140 strong UK team. Each project is unique and typically involves consideration of dynamic load effects due to extreme hazards, including seismic, blast, and impact. Our complex analysis models are rigorously validated and fully evidenced through independent third party review to meet nuclear safety regulator requirements. We work on multimillion pound, long term infrastructure improvement projects that include reinforced concrete structures, plated steel structures, maritime structures, and specialised facilities for submarines, designed from Glasgow, Edinburgh and London which can serve as your hybrid base office.

• Inter discipline project planning, delivery, and financial performance management.
• Provision of technical quality and excellence of project deliverables.
• Providing technical and professional guidance, support and development of junior engineers and technicians.
• Adherence to and contribution to business and quality management systems.
• Operational and design safety, and developing a strong safety culture.

• Good all round technical design expertise using British and international standards and/or Eurocodes.
• Proven ability to manage projects and prepare project deliverables, including quality, budget, programme and resources.
• Good, accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or similar, and/or Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer status.
• Ability to achieve and maintain SC security clearance and be a UK national.
