Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor - Galliford Try / Morrison Construction

Purpose of the role

We have commercial opportunities for Assistant and Quantity Surveyors across our business where you'll support administration, reporting, and performance on major projects or multiple schemes. Your leadership, discipline, and attention to detail will help us deliver projects safely and efficiently while building a rewarding career in construction.

Responsibilities
  • Support a safe and compliant working environment across projects.
  • Manage subcontract packages, including terms, pricing, programmes, and interim assessments.
  • Issue and manage commercial notices, changes, and Compensation Event Quotations in line with contracts.
  • Prepare, submit, and agree monthly applications with clients and monitor project expenditure.
  • Maintain detailed cost plans, schedules of subcontractor liabilities, and Oracle-based analyses.
  • Liaise with site, operational, and engineering teams to ensure accurate records and reporting.
  • Produce monthly reports, Cost Value Reconciliations, and interpret expenditure data for decision making.
  • Contribute contractual expertise to estimating, bid teams, and project meetings, driving value and profit.
