  • Alongside attending university you carry out the following tasks:
  • Assist with cost estimating and cost planning for construction projects.
  • Undertake take-offs from drawings and prepare pricing schedules.
  • Support subcontractor procurement and contract documentation.
  • Help with commercial reporting, valuations and cost control.
  • Visit sites and collaborate with project teams to monitor project progress.
  • Liaise effectively with internal departments including site operations, design, logistics, accounts, health & Safety and environmental teams.
  • Assist with the management of of sub-contract packages, including verifying applications for payment, agreeing variations and compensation events and settling final accounts.
  • You will have the opportunity to develop full professional expertise in cost management, construction contracts, commercial skills and surveying - leading to a degree and in time RICS chartered status upon completion.
