Senior Quantity Surveyor - Infrastructure
  • Nottingham, England (Mixture of local office, home and client sites)
  • Permanent
  • Full time - with flexible working and core hours

We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor/Cost Manager to join our infrastructure team. In this role you will provide pre and post contract commercial management advice and partner with our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Cost Management & Reporting - Oversee budgets, track costs, ensure financial accuracy.
  • Contract Administration - Manage NEC & JCT contracts, handle valuations and payments.
  • Procurement & Supplier Engagement - Support tendering processes, ensure value for money.
  • Commercial Assurance - Audit projects, verify estimates, review financial compliance.
  • Risk & Change Management - Identify financial risks, manage compensation events.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with clients, contractors and internal teams.
  • Software & Systems Expertise - Use tools such as PRISM, CEMAR, Costx, and Viewpoint.
  • Main & Subcontractor Management - Oversee project finances, ensure compliance.
  • Account and client management - Manage day to day accounts and commissions.
  • Line management - Support junior staff through learning and development.
Qualifications
  • HNC, HND or Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar discipline.
  • Professional qualifications or membership of RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute desirable.
  • Relevant experience in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management in UK infrastructure sector.
  • Pre and post contract experience.
  • Previous line management experience.
  • Understanding the importance of maintaining relationships with clients and building rapport to add value.
  • Experience with managing NEC3/4 contracts.
  • A passion for infrastructure, sustainability and delivering great work.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to build relationships quickly.
