I am currently working with a leading fire consultancy that is looking to appoint a Principal Fire Engineer to play a key role in delivering and leading a strong pipeline of projects.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Fire Engineer seeking a more influential position, with responsibility for both technical delivery and team development. The successful Principal Fire Engineer will operate across a diverse range of sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare and public sector.

As a Principal Fire Engineer, you will lead on complex projects, oversee fire strategy development, and act as a key point of contact for clients. This role would suit a confident and commercially aware Principal Fire Engineer who enjoys leadership and high-level technical input.

The successful Principal Fire Engineer will also contribute to business growth, mentor junior engineers, and support the wider strategic direction of the team. A proactive and ambitious Principal Fire Engineer will excel in this environment.

The Role
  • Lead fire engineering projects from concept to completion
  • Oversee fire strategies and performance-based design solutions
  • Manage client relationships and provide expert technical advice
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers
  • Support business development and project growth
Candidate Profile
  • Degree qualified in Fire Engineering or similar
  • Proven experience operating as a Principal Fire Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of UK fire regulations and standards
  • Experience leading projects and teams
  • Excellent communication and commercial awareness
