Quantity Surveyor
- Annual Salary: 50,000- 60,000

Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare accurate cost plans and budgets for development projects.
- Produce monthly financial reports to track project spend and ensure financial efficiency.
- Manage final accounts and liaise with finance teams to maintain budget control.
- Analyse historic project data to improve future cost accuracy and project forecasting.
- Lead tendering and procurement processes across projects, ensuring competitive and fair contractor selection.
- Provide commercial support to project teams on contracts, valuations, variations, and final accounts, ensuring all financial aspects are handled efficiently.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts and construction specifications.
- Confident in conducting contractor negotiations and managing complex contracts.
- Good awareness of health and safety regulations in the construction sector.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, with the ability to manage budgets and costs effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of liaising with various stakeholders.
- Understanding of related disciplines such as project management, building surveying, or architecture.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Professional accreditation (e.g., RICS) is desirable but not essential.
- Extensive experience with contract and cost management.
- Knowledge of valuations, procurement, and estimating.
- Background in commercial construction projects, with industry-specific experience being highly beneficial.
