Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Colindale, North London
Salary: 80,000 - 100,000 + Travel Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Opportunity
A leading UK residential developer is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a landmark high-rise residential development in Colindale, North London.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the commercial delivery of a large-scale, multi-phase scheme, working alongside an experienced project team to ensure successful financial and contractual management throughout the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving commercial performance, managing risk, and maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders on one of London's significant residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial management of a high-rise residential project from procurement through to final account.
  • Manage subcontract procurement, negotiation, and appointment.
  • Prepare and review tender documentation and subcontract packages.
  • Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
  • Assess and agree subcontractor applications, variations, and final accounts.
  • Produce accurate monthly cost reports and commercial forecasts.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
  • Work closely with operational teams to maximise project profitability.
  • Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team where required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor within the residential construction sector.
  • Strong experience delivering high-rise residential or large-scale mixed-use developments.
  • Excellent knowledge of JCT contracts and commercial management processes.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially astute with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams within a fast-paced project environment.
