Quantity Surveyor - RC Frame & Groundworks

We are currently searching for a Quantity Surveyor who specialises in/or has commercial managed RC Frame and Groundworks packages extensively. This role is with a Main Contractor who specialises in ultra-high-end residential projects within Central London. These projects re a combination of new build, cut & carve, refurbishment and listed buildings.

The Role:
  • Take commercial responsibility for RC Frame and Groundworks packages from tender stage through to final account settlement.
  • Prepare, manage, and review cost plans, budgets, valuations, variations, and applications for payment across multiple projects.
  • Carry out measurement and take-offs for reinforced concrete and groundwork packages, ensuring accurate cost control and reporting.
  • Procure subcontractors, suppliers, and materials, negotiating favourable terms and ensuring value for money.
  • Manage subcontract accounts, including payment assessments, variations, and final account negotiations.
  • Produce and maintain monthly CVRs, forecasts, and cash flow reports to monitor project performance and profitability.
  • Identify and manage commercial risks, contractual issues, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Liaise with clients, site teams, engineers, and project stakeholders to ensure the successful commercial delivery of projects.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within RC Frame, Groundworks, Civil Engineering, or specialist subcontractor environments.
  • Strong understanding of reinforced concrete structures, excavation, drainage, foundations, and groundwork construction methods.
  • Experience managing project costs, subcontract procurement, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related construction discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
