Rate: 27.81 PAYE/ 36.40 Umbrella

About the Role:
As the Principal Building Surveyor, you will lead a specialist team, ensuring the effective repair, maintenance, and improvement of council-owned properties. You will be pivotal in delivering a top-notch housing surveying service that aligns with our values and policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse portfolio with a budget of approximately 2 million annually.
- Oversee responsive repairs and planned maintenance for all council properties.
- Collaborate with contractors and partners to enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and legislation.
- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations for continuous improvement.
What We Are Looking For:
- Expertise: Significant experience in building inspection, contract management, and disrepair legislation.
- Qualifications: A degree or HND in building technology, construction, or a related field.
- Skills: Strong IT proficiency, excellent report-writing abilities, and budget management expertise.
- Personal Qualities: Team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to equality and diversity.
