The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a forward-thinking construction business delivering innovative, sustainable projects across the education, defence, healthcare, commercial and residential sectors.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be based in Central London and take commercial ownership of major construction projects from inception through to completion. Working within a collaborative and fast-paced environment, you'll play a key role in managing project costs, mitigating risks, driving value and ensuring successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
Take commercial responsibility for construction projects, ensuring effective cost control and financial performance.
Prepare cost plans, forecasts, procurement strategies and manage change throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify, monitor and report on commercial risks and opportunities.
Manage subcontractor procurement, contract administration and supply chain performance.
Ensure project budgets, scopes of work and contractual documentation are accurate and effectively maintained.
Support the delivery of projects that meet programme, quality, sustainability and commercial objectives.
About You
To be successful in this Quantity Surveyor role, you'll have:
Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of procurement, subcontractor management and commercial negotiations.
Experience with cost forecasting, budgeting and financial reporting.
Understanding of construction contracts, health & safety requirements and ISO standards.
Membership of, or working towards membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate commercial reports.
Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
A collaborative approach with the ability to build strong working relationships across project teams.
