Due to continued growth, we are seeking an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team and support the commercial delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Assisting with the commercial management of groundworks and civil engineering projects.
• Measuring and valuing works carried out on site.
• Preparing subcontractor payments and valuations.
• Assisting with cost reporting and budget monitoring.
• Supporting the preparation and submission of client applications and final accounts.
• Reviewing subcontractor quotations and contracts.
• Tracking project variations and ensuring accurate records are maintained.
• Liaising with site teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Supporting procurement activities and material orders.
• Ensuring projects remain commercially compliant and profitable.

Requirements

• Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within construction, groundworks, civil engineering, or a similar sector is advantageous.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
