Quantity Surveyor - Dartford
About the role of Quantity Surveyor
Looking for a quantity surveyor to work on a long term commercial build. The project value is 5,000,000. Looking for someone who has experience delivering commercial, or refurbishment projects at a value over 1,000,000. Working across a range of commercial construction projects, you'll be responsible for managing costs from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual requirements.
Responsibilities of Quantity Surveyor
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification
- Commercial management of construction projects
- Cost planning, valuations, and forecasting
- Procurement and management of subcontractors
- Managing variations and final accounts
- Producing commercial reports and cost analysis
- Liaising with clients, consultants, and project teams
Requirements of Quantity Surveyor
- Previous experience as a QS
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience with a main contractor
- Commercial construction background
- Strong knowledge of JCT contracts
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
The project is a commercial build and has a long duration.
