Job Description
Our client, a leading Mechanical & Electrical services contractor, is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of multi-million-pound construction projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in Quantity Surveying within the M&E sector, working alongside experienced Commercial Managers and Quantity Surveyors.
The Role
You'll support the commercial team with:
- Cost management, valuations and variations
- Tender submissions and subcontractor engagement
- Contract administration and procurement
- Monthly valuations and financial reporting
- Subcontractor payments and project cost records
- Commercial documentation and budget control
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office
- A willingness to learn and develop within a commercial environment
Desirable:
- A Quantity Surveying qualification (or currently studying towards one)
- Construction or M&E industry knowledge
- Previous construction or administration experience
