We are thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Principal Level Chartered Building Surveyor to become part of our well established L&I Technical Due Diligence and Building Surveying team. The position primarily involves handling transaction based assignments within the UK, focusing on technical advisory services while allowing room for your unique skills and career aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Technical Due Diligence (TDD) advice and reporting to identify key risks, assess severity, quantify impact, and provide actionable recommendations for risk mitigation across various commercial building types.
  • Lead and develop both managerial and technical capabilities, supporting career progression within a specialist team.
  • Deliver high quality services, often collaborating within a larger commission team to secure exceptional outcomes for clients.
  • Effectively manage multiple assignments simultaneously, ensuring alignment with projected costs to maintain profitability.
  • Manage risks in service delivery and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Drive organic revenue growth and support the delivery of the business plan for the commercial building surveying offering.
  • Provide professional technical consultancy commissions, including TDD, condition surveys, and related services.
  • Communicate clearly to ensure all necessary information is available for project execution, and collaborate with Project Managers and Team Leaders to maintain financial control and deliver cost effective services.
  • Represent the company professionally and diligently at all times, acting as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders.
  • Report to the Sector Director with quantifiable updates on the progress of each contract on a regular basis.
  • Mentor and develop junior building surveyors, fostering growth and technical knowledge within the team.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Degree and MRICS qualified, with post qualification experience (PQE).
  • Detail oriented, organized, and capable of independent operation.
  • Multi disciplinary experience with a global perspective.
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to manage priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
  • Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and a strong personal impact.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Innovative, self motivated, and commercially aware.
  • Provide concise and commercially insightful advice to clients.
  • Support the TDD team in project and assignment delivery for exceptional outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, manage expectations, and ensure timely, accurate work outputs.
  • Represent the company professionally, fostering client partnerships.
  • Guide junior team members and work effectively within a team.
  • Presentable, articulate, and capable of building and maintaining relationships both within and outside the company.
