Position Overview

An opportunity has arisen with the Disability & Home Improvement Team (DHIT). This multi disciplinary team provides services to the homes of Greenwich residents across all tenures, with a focus on supporting older and vulnerable residents to live independently in their homes by adapting or improving their home.

The rewarding post will suit applicants who have a strong commitment to the delivery of high quality services to vulnerable people and an understanding of housing problems faced by older people and those with disabilities and a keen desire to develop the technical team.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have a broad and detailed working knowledge of home renovation and disability related adaptations. The role requires a building surveyor to deliver and to carry out the full range of building surveying tasks associated with the identification, specification and implementation of building and adaptations works to residential properties.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Building Surveying or a related discipline, with relevant professional registration (e.g., RICS). Proven experience in residential building surveying and disability related adaptations. Strong technical knowledge of construction, health and safety, and local planning regulations.

Salary

£49,506 - £52,194 inc. London weighting.
