Quantity Surveyor - Finland
We are supporting a leading international construction contractor delivering large-scale data centre projects across Europe. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a project team in Finland.
This position offers the opportunity to work on complex construction projects within a fast paced environment, supporting the successful commercial delivery of major programmes while working alongside experienced project and commercial teams. The successful candidate will play a key role in cost management, subcontractor administration, procurement support, commercial reporting and client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Commercial Management
- Support the commercial management of projects from commencement through to final account
- Assist with procurement and subcontract package administration
- Monitor subcontractor and supplier accounts, payments and variations
- Support budget management and cost reporting activities
- Prepare valuations, change management documentation and final accounts
- Assist with forecasting, cost control and commercial reporting
- Maintain accurate commercial records and supporting documentation
- Support client and stakeholder communications on commercial matters
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
Project Support
- Work closely with project delivery and commercial leadership teams
- Support contract administration and compliance activities
- Contribute to the successful commercial performance of the project
- Build effective working relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience within a Quantity Surveying or commercial role
- Experience working within construction, engineering or technical project environments
- Strong understanding of cost management, procurement and contract administration
- Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and variations
- Strong commercial awareness and analytical capability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Experience working on large scale construction projects would be advantageous
