Highways Quantity Surveyor Daily rate: £20.29 per hour PAYE outside IR35 Location: Coventry Contract: 3 months Working hours: 40 per week, office based
What you'll do
- As a Highways Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of highways projects from inception through to final account.
- Managing project costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Administering and managing NEC contracts.
- Preparing, reviewing and negotiating subcontractor packages.
- Producing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.
- Identifying, pricing and managing compensation events and variations.
- Monitoring project performance and reporting on commercial progress.
- Working closely with project managers, engineers and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal teams.
What you'll need
- To be considered for this Highways Quantity Surveyor position, you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor within the highways sector.
- Strong working knowledge and practical experience of NEC contracts (essential).
- Experience managing commercial aspects of civil engineering or highways projects.
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A full UK driving licence.
