Job Description
We're recruiting an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a major M&E project in Ayrshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking to play a key role on a flagship project with an M&E package in the multi millions.
This position is ideally suited to a Senior Quantity Surveyor who has a proven track record of delivering large-scale M&E projects and is confident managing complex commercial packages from procurement through to final account.
The Role of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of a significant M&E package, ensuring costs are controlled, risks are managed, and contractual obligations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commercial management of a major M&E package.
- Preparing and managing cost reports, valuations, variations, and final accounts.
- Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
- Administering NEC and/or JCT contracts.
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities while maximising project profitability.
- Working closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Previous experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on large-scale M&E or building services projects.
- Experience delivering projects with M&E packages valued at £5 million or more.
- Strong working knowledge of NEC and/or JCT contracts.
- Excellent commercial, contractual, and negotiation skills.
- The ability to manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
- A full UK driving licence.
