Salary: 35,000 - 50,000 + Package

Overview:
A highly respected workplace design and build specialist is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team in London.

As a result of continued growth and an expanding project portfolio, an opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to support the successful commercial delivery of multiple high-profile schemes.
The Role:
Working alongside experienced Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, you will gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from tender and procurement through to final account.

Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the commercial management of multiple fit out and refurbishment projects
- Supporting the preparation of cost plans, budgets and tender submissions
- Procuring subcontractor packages and analysing quotations
- Assisting with contract administration and document management
- Preparing applications for payment and client valuations
- Monitoring project costs and identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Assessing and managing variations throughout the project lifecycle
- Supporting monthly CVR reporting and forecasting activities
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payment processes
- Assisting with final account negotiations and project close-out
Candidate Requirements
- Degree qualified or studying towards a degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline
- Previous experience within a Quantity Surveying, Assistant Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Assistant role
- Experience within fit out, refurbishment or construction projects would be advantageous
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and standard commercial software
- Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
