Quantity Surveyor

Location: North Yorkshire (Hybrid)

Salary: £52,000 - £56,000 + Mileage + Excellent Career Progression

As a Quantity Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial delivery of a portfolio of highways projects, working closely with operational teams to ensure schemes are delivered successfully from procurement through to final account.

Working under NEC contracts, you'll play a key role in cost management, subcontractor administration, forecasting and financial reporting, while building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and supply chain partners.

• Manage the commercial aspects of highways and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare applications for payment, valuations and final accounts.
• Forecast project costs and produce commercial reports.
• Procure and manage subcontractor packages.
• Assess and agree subcontractor accounts.
• Administer NEC contracts and contractual correspondence.
• Identify commercial risks and opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams to maximise project performance.

You'll ideally have:

• Experience within highways, civil engineering, groundworks or surfacing.
• Working knowledge of NEC contracts (NEC4 desirable).
• HNC, HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills.

• Salary of £52,000 - £56,000.
• Business mileage paid
• Additional annual leave awarded with length of service (up to 29 days plus Bank Holidays).
