About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining the commercial team of reputable Main Contractor who have a turnover of nearly 900m. You will be the commercial lead on a 30m commercial cut & carve scheme in Central London where you will be based.
The company are privately owned and have been growing in the construction industry for over 150 years with over 5 offices across the UK. They predominately focus on leisure, lab, student accommodation, healthcare, education and commercial projects valued from 20m - 100m.
Key Responsibilities for Senior Quantity Surveyor
Include but not limited to:
- Monitor costs against project budget
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities
- Implement procurement strategies
- Negotiate and agree final accounts
- Manage change control
- Ensure compliance with contractual notice requirements
- Produce monthly valuations and applications for payment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Mentor junior members of staff
Key Requirements for Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Live within commutable distance to Central London
- Experience as a commercial lead at a main contractor on projects valued 15m+
- Ideally gained experience on cut & carve or commercial projects
- Degree educated in a construction related subject
