Job Title: Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Salary: 25,000 - 30,000 (DOE)

Location: Petersfield, Hampshire (Office-Based with Site Visits)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction contractor based in Petersfield due to continued growth.

Established for over 30 years, the company delivers a diverse range of commercial and residential construction projects, specialising in domestic refurbishments, extensions and new build developments. They have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects through excellent project management and attention to detail.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Quantity Surveying graduate to begin their career within a supportive and experienced commercial team. The company places a strong emphasis on training, mentoring and long-term career progression, offering the opportunity to develop into a fully qualified Quantity Surveyor while working on a varied portfolio of projects.


Job Requirements

Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline

Strong interest in pursuing a long-term career within Quantity Surveying

Good commercial awareness and numerical skills

Excellent communication and organisational abilities

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Full UK Driving Licence desirable

Based within commuting distance of Petersfield

Key Responsibilities

Assisting with the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account

Supporting the preparation of cost plans, valuations and financial reports

Assisting with subcontractor procurement and package management

Preparing take-offs from drawings and project documentation

Supporting the management of project costs, variations and change control

Liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams

Attending site visits to monitor project progress and support commercial delivery

Working alongside senior Quantity Surveyors while developing technical and commercial knowledge
