Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor

A growing main contractor is looking to appoint an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its expanding commercial team.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious AQS who has gained a few years' experience and is now looking for the next step in their career. The business has a strong pipeline of live projects and is looking for someone who wants to develop, take on more responsibility and build a long-term career within the commercial function.
The business currently has a number of live schemes across London, this role is to join a brand new residential project in London Bridge valued at 22m.
You'll gain exposure to a broad range of commercial activities, including:
- Valuations and applications for payment
- Procurement and subcontract management
- Cost control and reporting
- Package management
- Working closely with project and commercial teams
What We're Looking For
- A few years' experience within a construction commercial environment
- Ideally, experience with a main contractor
- Exposure to live projects, valuations and procurement
- A commercially switched-on approach
- Good communication and organisational skills
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude
- A genuine desire to learn and progress
