Quantity Surveyor Rail / Civil Engineering
Location: Wombwell, Barnsley
Salary: £45,000 £57,500 + Company Car / Allowance

An excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established infrastructure contractor, supporting a portfolio of rail and civil engineering projects
This is a great opportunity for a commercially minded Quantity Surveyor to gain exposure to major infrastructure schemes while developing their career within a supportive and growing commercial team.
The Role
You will support the commercial management of projects from procurement through to final account, including:
- Preparing applications for payment, variations, compensation events and final accounts.
- Producing monthly CVRs, forecasts and commercial reports.
- Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations and accounts.
- Supporting change management, risks and opportunities.
- Working closely with Project and Site Managers.
- Administering NEC contracts and ensuring contractual compliance.
- Supporting commercial decision-making across projects.
About You
- Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, rail or infrastructure.
- Good knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Experience with subcontract management, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Strong commercial and financial management skills.
- Relevant QS qualification or equivalent experience.
- Rail experience is beneficial but not essential.
