Salary: 40,000 - 55,000
Bennett & Game are representing a growing and well-established construction consultancy who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their Northern team.
The successful candidate will join a business providing professional Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management and wider construction consultancy services across a broad range of sectors. Their project portfolio includes residential, healthcare, commercial, education, refurbishment and fit-out schemes, offering exposure to varied and interesting work.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to continue progressing their career within a supportive and growing team. The successful candidate will work alongside experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors and Directors, gaining exposure to a diverse project portfolio while taking increasing responsibility for their own work.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: 40,000 - 55,000 depending on experience
Hybrid working, typically 1 day per week from home
25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview
- Deliver pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across a varied project portfolio
Assist with cost planning, estimating, tender documentation and Bills of Quantities
Support procurement processes and the management of subcontract packages
Prepare valuations, variations, cost reports and final account information
Monitor project costs and assist with commercial reporting and change management
Attend client, site and project meetings as required
Work closely with Senior Quantity Surveyors while developing responsibility for your own projects
Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a construction environment
Main contractor or contractor-side experience would be highly advantageous
Good understanding of both pre and post-contract Quantity Surveying
Experience with procurement, valuations, variations and cost reporting
Able to manage workloads effectively and work independently when required
Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline would be advantageous
