The team works closely with multinational clients, managing projects from early feasibility and pre-construction through to completion and handover. The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor (Commercial Lead), you will play a key role in the commercial success of projects across the division. The position is predominantly focused on post-contract commercial management, ensuring robust cost control, contract administration, risk management, and project profitability. You will also support pre-construction activities including commercial reviews, cost planning, procurement strategy, and tender support.

Working alongside project managers, operational teams, subcontractors, and clients, you will act as the commercial focal point for projects from contract award through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial management of multiple projects across Europe and the Middle East.
• Manage valuations, applications for payment, variations, claims, and final accounts.
• Monitor project costs, cash flow, forecasting, and overall commercial performance.
• Identify and mitigate commercial risks while maximising opportunities.
• Administer contracts and provide commercial guidance to project teams.
• Manage subcontract procurement, account administration, and negotiations.
• Produce monthly cost reports and performance updates.
• Support tender submissions, commercial reviews, and pre-construction activities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.

About You

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Lead level.
• Strong post-contract commercial management experience.
• Demonstrable experience managing variations, claims, cost reporting, and final accounts.
• Good knowledge of JCT, NEC and/or FIDIC contracts.
• Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working across multiple projects and international jurisdictions.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
