We are looking for a Chartered Structural Engineer to join an established structural engineering team based in the WR13 area.

The role would suit an experienced structural engineer looking to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of projects, providing technically sound and commercially practical structural solutions from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver structural engineering solutions across a range of projects.
• Prepare and review structural calculations, specifications and technical reports.
• Produce and review structural drawings and details.
• Assess existing structures and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Liaise with architects, contractors, clients and other consultants.
• Attend site visits, inspections and meetings where required.
• Manage structural engineering projects from initial design through to completion.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.
• Review and approve technical work where appropriate.
• Help maintain high standards of technical quality across projects.

Requirements

• Chartered Structural Engineer status with the relevant professional institution.
• Strong experience in structural engineering design and consultancy.
• Competent with structural calculations and technical design.
• Good knowledge of relevant British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Experience working with a range of structural materials and construction methods.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage projects and work independently.
• Proficient with relevant structural design and engineering software.
